This is a beginner class for using the signal whip in play. This class is part one of a two-part class designed to teach you how to use a signal whip in play. This class will cover range, stance, and several overhand and sidearm throws for use in play. We will also cover alternate non-throw uses of the whip in play. The techniques and exercises build upon one another so as one starts with the basic exercises you can progress quite rapidly. As this is a technique and practice class, is recommended that you bring a signal whip to this class.

This class continues where Signal Whips I left off. Using the same techniques built in SW I, this class adds some new throws including underhand throws. In addition this class will explain using whip wraps in play. Since the techniques and exercises build directly from SW I, it is recommended you take it before attending SW II. This class will show you three variations on the traditional Takate Kote ("box tie"). We decided that we should start by providing our history prior to our meeting, since it has everything to do with the foundation and structure of our household. We have all heard the term sub space. Many refer to it as “headspace”, “flying”, or “floating”. What is this trance-like state that submissives want to get to? The intensity of SM play often results in emotional vulnerability for the top and the bottom. Often, the period of “Aftercare” post-scene is intended to provide closure for all parties involved. Though much discussion and lip service is often paid to the importance of aftercare, how many of us insure our emotional needs will be met after the toys are safely packed away? Who among us makes sure that we negotiate aftercare when planning that hot scene? Who among us has walked away with a “less that fulfilled feeling” after a scene, and later realized out aftercare needs weren’t met? How often is the top or dominant’s need for aftercare overlooked? And for goodness sake, what do you do when there is no chocolate to be found??

In this discussion, we will explore the reasons, physiological, psychological and spiritual, that people often need to have a “cooling down” period post-scene. We will explore suggestions for ways to include aftercare in your negotiations, and what to do if you aren’t getting your needs met. We will also investigate the ramifications of scenes that deliberately eliminate the aftercare aspect, and how you might approach processing the energies released within your play when you are left to your own devices. The physical and emotional facets of post scene processing will be discussed, and participant participation will be actively solicited. How to determine what is working, what is not -and how to deal with and implement that new knowledge

Many people discuss Leather, what it means and does not mean, and, how it is and is not relevant to the greater kink community. As a result, many of the ideals that some of us hold dear have become not only extremely controversial, but termed as 'myth' and/or non-existent. During this presentation I will discuss identifying as Old Guard in such an environment, Leather resumes, lineage, etc. There will be time for questions and some discussion.

How do you accept service, and in what ways? What should each person in the M/s relationship reasonably expect, and how do we put that into language?

How to expand your social circle in your own area. Do you feel like you know everyone and everyone knows you? Do you wish to expand your social circle? From wall-flowers to social butterflies, you too can expand your social circle. This class with kick start your personal “Project: Social Expansion” and give you tips, tricks and ideas for finding new faces in new places.

Do you know the difference between need and want? Do you know your needs? Learn the difference and practice communication strategies to express them without "topping from the bottom".

This Workshop explores the notion that while each Master/slave relationship is unique, each also contains elements that we experience in common.

Can we identify those areas of commonality? If we can, is there any benefit to be derived from having done so? Many Masters, both new and experienced, have been heard to wonder – “Am I doing this right?” Having identified that which is typically common to our joint experience can we then use this information to provide markers along the path of Mastery that help the newcomer find their footing as well as assist experienced Masters in identifying aspects of their roles and responsibilities that might benefit from additional attention?

This is a down-and-dirty discussion of what it really takes to maintain multiple long-term relationships on a day-to-day basis, and how to cope when real life interferes—from jealousy and New Toy Syndrome to careers, kids and personal crises. We’ll talk about defining boundaries, communicating with partners (and partners of partners), dealing with unpleasant emotions and taking care of your existing relationships while another is beginning—or ending. And we’ll talk about how dealing with real life, both good and bad, can bring greater intimacy to all of our relationships.

Let’s explore the many reasons that we may be feeling less fulfilled in our sexuality than we used to be, and let’s talk about the ways to bring the joy and fire back into what we do.

You’ve invested a bunch of money in coming to an event; chances are that you’re not here just to learn techniques! Come join us at a brief walk through the schedule of a kink event – what to expect, how to meet people, how to choose classes & events that you’ll enjoy, and how to navigate the basic etiquette of both play and social space. We’ll also cover some ideas to help you avoid event drop, con crud, and the other hazards of a playful weekend.

This intermediate, hands on, rope class will go over the differences in male anatomy that should be considered while doing suspension. A face up, horizontal suspension will be demonstrated. While this class is geared towards women suspending men, all genders are welcome to attend. There will be a hands on portion so bring your rope and we will have some fun. Bring what rope you have, but it is highly recommended that you have one or some of the following: solid braid nylon, MFP, or natural fibers such as hemp or jute. Lengths that will be used for the class can be 25 or 30 footers along with a few 15 footers. Even if you don’t have all of those lengths, bring what you have and we’ll see what we can do.

Play piercing is the temporary subcutaneous insertion of sterile hypodermic needles under the surface of the skin. This can be done for sensation (either pleasure or pain) and/or decoration. In this hands-on interactive class & demo, we will go over safety & negotiation, necessary equipment, space setup & skin prep, a live demonstration on a human volunteer, removal and clean up (including proper disposal of supplies) & aftercare. After the instructor demo, each person who wants to experience piercing and/or being pierced will have the opportunity to do so with one-on-one instruction. This workshop will also cover where to procure the materials needed for safe play piercing.

In this hands-on class & demo I will give a quick review of safety and skin prep for playing with Sterile Hypodermic Needles (Temporary "Play" Piercing), and then teach you MANY of the ways to use them to create gorgeous and intricate designs.

Some of the techniques included in this class will be:

Jay holds a first-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, is a member of Mensa, and lived in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district during the Sixties. A former ambulance crewman with years of experience and recipient of the highest Red Cross commendation for emergency action, Jay now teaches classes in basic and advanced emergency medical care for BDSM clubs and other groups. After receiving his law degree in 2005 and passing the bar exam in 2006, he sometimes works as a part-time law school professor. His areas of special legal interest include providing legal support for alternative communities, teaching bar exam preparation, search and seizure law, and conflict resolution.

Master Don’s journey in the lifestyle began in 1956 when he was eighteen years old. That journey of exploring and learning still continues to this day. ...is a rope artist. His inspiration to become involved in the BDSM community stemmed from the images of Japanese Artist, Youko Ozuma. Ozuma's drawings of beautiful tattooed women bound in rope sparked a desire in him to learn how to tie women like those in the book. Through lots of practice and instruction from Internationally renowned riggers, that desire has become a reality as you can often find MataLeao at east coast play parties tying up hot chicks in Japanese inspired bondage.
